Jobber pricing: what a one-person business really pays in 2026

Jobber costs a small business, at one user, $29 a month paid a year up front ($348) or $49 month to month ($588) on its Core plan, read September 9, 2026 (Jobber pricing). Checklists, automatic follow-ups and the QuickBooks link need Connect at $99–$139 a month, and hiring one helper removes Core entirely: the cheapest two-person plan is $149–$199 a month. Card payments cost 2.9% + 30¢ on every plan. Cheaper tools cover a schedule, a checklist and an invoice; Jobber earns its price when you send quotes with options, take online bookings and run a crew.

What does Jobber cost in 2026?

Three plans for one person and four for a team, priced by how many people log in. The pricing page has a “Team size” switch; this is what it showed for “Just me” and “2–5 people” on September 9, 2026, in U.S. dollars before sales tax.

PlanJust me: month to monthJust me: paid annually2–5 people: month to month2–5 people: paid annually
Core$49/mo$29/mo ($348/yr)Not offeredNot offered
Connect$139/mo$99/mo ($1,188/yr)$199/mo (5 users)$149/mo ($1,788/yr)
Grow$199/mo$149/mo ($1,788/yr)$299/mo (5 users)$229/mo ($2,748/yr)
PlusNot shownNot shown$499/mo (5 users)$399/mo ($4,788/yr)

At 6–10 people Connect is $299 month to month or $229 paid annually; at 16 or more every plan says “Contact Sales.” Add-ons sit outside the plans: Marketing Suite $99, AI Receptionist $29 and Pipeline $49 a month. There is no first-year promotional price on the page; the only discount is “up to 25%” for paying a year up front. Jobber runs short sign-up offers now and then, so read the page the day you buy.

What do you actually pay in year one and year two?

Between $348 and $2,388 a year for the software alone. Year two costs the same as year one unless Jobber changes its prices, which it has done before: a reviewer in May 2023 wrote that Connect had risen from $119 to $169 a month; it now lists at $139 for one person.

One userYear one, month to monthYear one, paid annuallyTwo years, paid annually
Core$588$348$696
Connect$1,668$1,188$2,376
Grow$2,388$1,788$3,576

Add the card fees, the bigger number for most small businesses. A home watcher billing $4,000 a month across 25 invoices, all paid by card, pays 2.9% of $48,000 ($1,392) plus 300 × 30¢ ($90): $1,482 a year. The same money by bank payment at 1% is $480. So Core paid annually plus card fees is about $1,830 in year one; Connect about $2,670. Card fees follow you to almost any tool.

What happens to the price when you hire your first helper?

Core disappears. Jobber’s help center says Core “supports one user” (updated August 13, 2026), and when you flip the pricing page to “2–5 people” the Core card is gone. The cheapest plan for two people is Connect at $199 a month, or $149 paid annually, with five seats whether you fill them or not.

SituationCheapest planPer year, paid annuallyPer year, month to month
Just youCore$348$588
You plus one part-timerConnect (5 users)$1,788$2,388
Difference for one helper+$1,440+$1,800

That jump is the most common complaint in Jobber’s reviews. The money buys real things: a login, the schedule, GPS, time tracking and checklists for the second person. A cleaner adding a Saturday helper still does not need five seats.

Which features are locked to which plan?

Core covers scheduling, quotes, invoices, online booking, a website and card payments. Almost everything that saves you time at night sits on Connect or above. From the pricing page’s feature table, trimmed to what a small home-service business asks about:

A home watcher who walks the same 20 homes every two weeks needs a checklist with photos and a reminder that goes out by itself. Both are on Connect, so the honest Jobber price for that business is $99–$139 a month, not $29.

What does Jobber charge to take a payment?

The same on every plan: 2.9% + 30¢ for a card paid online or by invoice, 2.7% + 30¢ for tap-to-pay on your phone, and 1% for a bank payment. Instant payouts are listed on every plan. There are no lead fees.

Tap to Pay in person2.7% + 30¢$5.70$40.80
Bank payment1%$2.00$15.00

If clients will pay by bank transfer, ask. On $48,000 a year the gap between cards and bank payments is about $1,000.

What are the trial, contract and cancellation terms?

Fourteen days free on the Grow plan with no credit card, then you pick a plan. There are three ways to pay and the cancellation rules differ:

  • Month to month: cancel any time; access ends with the current billing month.
  • Monthly with a one-year commitment: twelve-month minimum; cancel mid-year and you are still billed until the term ends.
  • Annual, prepaid: the full year up front; cancel mid-year and you keep access to the end, but the payment is non-refundable.

Every subscription renews by itself unless you turn renewal off. One Reddit thread from 2023 describes a teenager’s lawn business in Australia being asked to email twice and then phone during U.S. business hours to cancel an annual plan. One account, not a pattern; still, put the renewal date in your calendar.

What do the reviews say about the price?

The app is well liked and the price is the sore spot. Jobber’s iPhone app holds 4.8 out of 5 across 21,000 ratings (App Store, read September 9, 2026); the five-star reviews praise fast support and a layout new hires learn quickly. The complaints cluster around three things:

  • The plan ladder. A four-person HVAC shop cancelled in May 2023 because two-option estimates sat on the top plan.
  • Value for a small shop. A long-time subscriber gave five stars for support in April 2023 and still called the software over-priced for the features.
  • Not friendly to starters. One Reddit reply put it as “the pricing is mental. It’s not friendly to new businesses.”

In fairness, a company that switched platforms wrote in April 2026 that Jobber scales a team without per-person charges, and that is true: five seats on Connect cost $149–$199 flat, while Housecall Pro charges $100 a month per seat past its included five.

When is Jobber the right choice?

When you sell with quotes, book through your website and have, or will soon have, a crew. Those are the jobs Jobber does better than the cheap tools.

  • You write quotes with several line items, options and markups, and the client approves online (optional line items need Grow).
  • Clients find you on Google and book a slot themselves; online booking is on every plan, including Core.
  • You have two to five people in the field and want one schedule, GPS and time clocks; Connect at $149–$199 covers all five.
  • Your accountant lives in QuickBooks Online, and you want reminders and follow-ups to go out with no one pressing send (Connect and up).

If two or more are true, $99–$199 a month is a wage for an office you do not have. If none are, you are paying for a five-person tool to run a two-person day.

Housecall Pro pricing, briefly

Anyone shopping for a Housecall Pro alternative lands on Jobber, and the two price the same way: one user on the bottom plan, then a big step (Housecall Pro pricing, read September 9, 2026).

PlanMonth to monthPaid annuallyUsers includedExtra user
Basic$79/mo$59/mo1Not listed for Basic
Essentials$189/mo$149/mo5$100/mo each
Max$329/mo$299/mo8$75/mo each

Checklists and the QuickBooks Online link are on Essentials; online booking and job costing are on Basic. Card fees “start at 2.59%” and bank payments cost 1%. The trial is 14 days on Max with no card, and the site says there is no long-term contract. For one person, Basic costs more than Jobber Core and includes more; the moment you want a checklist you are at $149–$189.

ZenMaid pricing, briefly

ZenMaid charges a base price plus a fee for every cleaner beyond the owner, so ZenMaid pricing depends on head count. Its pricing page would not load on September 9, 2026; these numbers are from ZenMaid’s help center article dated June 4, 2026.

PlanBase per monthEach cleaner beyond the ownerOwner plus 3 cleaners
Starter$19$4$31/mo
Pro$39$14$81/mo
Pro Max$49$24$121/mo

Only the owner is in the base price. Text reminders are sold in bundles from $14 for 125 messages. Cancel any time and the plan runs to the end of the billing period; annual plans are “available upon request.” For a solo cleaner, Starter at $19 is the cheapest of the three big names.

What are the honest cheaper options for a small business?

Five tools cost $0–$20 a month and cover most of what a small home watch, cleaning or handyman business does in a week. None is a full Jobber alternative; each does a few jobs well and skips the rest. Field service software for a one-person business is a smaller problem than software for a crew, so pay for the smaller problem. Prices read September 9, 2026.

An honest limit: none of these five gives you a booking page with live availability, two-way texting from a business number, or quotes with optional add-ons. If you sell that way, the cheap tools will cost you jobs, and Jobber Core at $29–$49 is the better deal.
